A day with Zachary

Yes, I am – lucky – very lucky.  I get to watch Zachary two days a week while his Daddy and Mommy are at work.  Here is what we did last Wednesday.

Here is the cutie still in his jammies, fresh from his crib.  I changed his diaper, of course, and then he ate one of my now world-famous (not really – but they are GOOD) banana muffins and also had some applesauce for breakfast.  I wish I woke up this happy and cute every morning……..

……then we went outside to play.  Louie loves Zachary sooooooooooo much…………

………….in this picture, they both heard a really loud truck on the street and both turned to look and see what it was…………

………..then he found this bag of bolts.  I jokingly texted Corey and asked if this is a toy – Corey said yes.  Zachary loves his Daddy – he likes Zachary to learn about all the cool tool stuff that Corey likes……..

…..then we went in the house.  Zach loves to be read to.  Here he is bringing a book for me to read to him.  He then got in my lap and I read it.  His favorite book for Grandma to read right now is “The Wheels on the Bus”………….

I swear I didn’t do it!

I swear I didn’t do it!  Here is Carrie, looking guilty as guilty can be.  This yarn was wrapped around everything – a chest with Zach’s toys in it, a fan, the dining room table, the sofa – oh the fun they must have had.  In her defense, Chloe was right there with her but escaped the camera……..

Feast!!!

We went to Keith and Justin’s last weekend.  We did a little shopping, made a delivery to St. Elizabeth’s and then just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.  They made us a FEAST for lunch Sunday – thanks Keith and Justin – it was heavenly.

Corey then called and invited us to dinner.  Eighty-two miles later, we arrived at their house and Danielle had made baked mostaccioli and garlic bread.  It was equally as wonderful.  The last pic is her mostaccioli before she baked it – enjoy……………

The sweet life……

I have the sweetest life.  Here is Zachary going to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa, picking up pine cone gifts for them along the way – only one pine cone made it so he gave it to Great Grandma to make her feel better after her hip replacement (ouch!!!).  He then helped Great Grandpa snap green beans (not so much really – he just wanted to taste them and did not enjoy raw green beans like his daddy used to).  Mommy then got him to sleep and got to enjoy snuggling with him.  Life is sweet……..

C’mon America……

C’mon America – let my son be equal.

Please read this article – it’s regarding the same things Keith and Justin are facing.  My son and his partner for life, Justin, may be emigrating to Canada.  They are no different than your straight children, America.  My child should be equal and I’m tired of crying over something that should be a non-issue.  Everybody says “can’t they just move to another state and get married?”.  No.  This article will tell you why.  Keith is an American.  Justin is from China.  Both may end up in Canada.  How wrong is that?  Why?  They harm nobody – they are great kids (ok, they’re not really kids but to us they are).

Please read this to understand what Keith and Justin have to go through to be equal.

Zach had a really fun time playing……..

Zach had a really fun time playing in the water, yelling at his Daddy (“Daddy, get out of the tree NOW!!!” YouTube video) and playing on his new backhoe from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa………..
