Feast!!!

We went to Keith and Justin’s last weekend.  We did a little shopping, made a delivery to St. Elizabeth’s and then just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.  They made us a FEAST for lunch Sunday – thanks Keith and Justin – it was heavenly.

Corey then called and invited us to dinner.  Eighty-two miles later, we arrived at their house and Danielle had made baked mostaccioli and garlic bread.  It was equally as wonderful.  The last pic is her mostaccioli before she baked it – enjoy……………

The sweet life……

I have the sweetest life.  Here is Zachary going to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa, picking up pine cone gifts for them along the way – only one pine cone made it so he gave it to Great Grandma to make her feel better after her hip replacement (ouch!!!).  He then helped Great Grandpa snap green beans (not so much really – he just wanted to taste them and did not enjoy raw green beans like his daddy used to).  Mommy then got him to sleep and got to enjoy snuggling with him.  Life is sweet……..

St. Elizabeth’s – July 23, 2011

Saturday, we made a delivery to St. Elizabeth’s in Lafayette, Indiana.  This delivery had twelve preemie sets, four of which had 6″ mini’s, plus a group of twelve 6″ mini’s.  As usual, we hope the babies and their families enjoy the gifts.

C’mon America……

C’mon America – let my son be equal.

Please read this article – it’s regarding the same things Keith and Justin are facing.  My son and his partner for life, Justin, may be emigrating to Canada.  They are no different than your straight children, America.  My child should be equal and I’m tired of crying over something that should be a non-issue.  Everybody says “can’t they just move to another state and get married?”.  No.  This article will tell you why.  Keith is an American.  Justin is from China.  Both may end up in Canada.  How wrong is that?  Why?  They harm nobody – they are great kids (ok, they’re not really kids but to us they are).

Please read this to understand what Keith and Justin have to go through to be equal.

SJRMC – July 21, 2011

Today Danielle, Zachary and I made a delivery to SJRMC (Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center) in Mishawaka, Indiana.   We got to meet Michelle and Zachary now has a new friend.

Michelle gave us a tour.  The walls have beautiful paintings of animals.  Here Zach is checking out a giraffe with Michelle…….

………..then he had to check out Michelle’s really cool and colorful necklace……….

…………and here are the new friends smiling for the camera………..

We missed meeting Fiona but hope to meet her next time we make a delivery there.

Today we donated………..12 preemie sets to the NICU, 12 6″ squares to the NICU, 4 bereavement gowns to the NICU, 12 preemie sets to Pediatrics, 12 full-term sets to Pediatrics and 6 bereavement gowns to Pediatrics.

We left their unit with the same feeling we always have………fulfilled.  People may get tired of hearing this from me but…….life is GOOD.  Aside from my family, nothing makes me happier than doing this.  We wish the very best life to all of the babies we help.
